This guy owns the largest muscle car collection in the world.

And most of us would never be able to guess his name.

If this were a question of ‘Who Wants to Be a Millionaire’, we’d all go home empty-handed.

A few familiar names and faces spring to mind when the world’s ‘largest’ and ‘car collection’ are used in the same sentence.

And yet, the owner of the world’s largest muscle car collection isn’t Jay Leno with his 281-car collection or the Sultan of Brunei.

This particular title belongs to Mark Pieloch, a man who made a fortune in the pharmaceutical sector, and spent some of that fortune to buy 440 cars, most of them American muscle cars.

This muscle car collection is the stuff of dreams

Pieloch owns just about any and every muscle car you can think of, and they all live in the American Muscle Car Museum in Melbourne, Florida.

It apparently all began with his family.

Mark Pieloch’s brother and father used to restore cars when Mark was a kid, and Mark Pieloch’s uncle owned a junkyard that they were constantly using to scavenge things they might need for the cars.

Pieloch’s first car was a 1967 Ford Ranch Wagon.

After starting his pharmaceutical business, he simply spent the next few decades buying and restoring cars, and he’s now put together a collection comprising over 440 cars, around half of which come with less than 10,000 original miles on the clock.

Mustangs, Shelbys, Camaros, Chevelles, Corvettes, Oldsmobiles, Chargers and Challengers, and even Doge Vipers.

If you can name it, he’s got it.

And he almost always has more than one.

The Porsche ‘section’

The collection includes a variety of different cars but, apart from muscle cars, and he also owns Ferraris and Mercedes-Benz models.

But one particular brand stands out and that’s Porsche.

Pieloch owns several classics, including a 356 Limousine, a few different 911s, several Porsche GT models and even a 2023 Porsche 911 Dakar, the car that kick-started the off-road supercar trend.
