Bentley unveiled a new special-edition Bentayga designed for yacht owners.

The new Bentayga is specifically inspired by the maritime background and colors of the French Riviera

Dubbed EWB Azure Riviera, the vehicle is based on the long wheelbase version of Bentayga.

The bad news, if you’re reading this in the US, is this Bentayga will only be available in Europe.

This Bentley is tribute to one of the world’s most glamorous coasts

If you go on Google Translate and type ‘Riviera’ in English, it will automatically translate that into Côte d’Azur, which is what the French call the French Riviera.

Interestingly, for some reason, the ‘Azure Coast’ of France is universally known in English as Riviera, which is an Italian word.

The people at Bentley are clearly familiar with this weird geographical and linguistic anomaly, and so they kept it safe by calling the ‘Azure Riviera’ – so everyone’s happy.

Once you look at the car, it’ll become clear where the inspiration came from.

Finished in Aegean Blue with matching accents throughout, the Azure Riviera Bentayga looks right at home against the backdrop of Monaco, Cannes or Nice.

The interior is expressly designed to look like the deck of the yacht, with teak-inspired colors mixed with elements in Aegean Blue, to complete the package.

The latest addition to a growing list of custom Bentleys

Bentley, like every other luxury automaker, has realized that every single vehicle that leaves the factory is customized.

The average would-be Bentley owner doesn’t want ‘stock’ or ‘factory’ cars, and so the company proactively decided to launch a slew of bespoke cars.

Just this year, we’ve seen the Belonging Bentayga, an SUV decorated with hand-painted artwork, and the S Black Edition, which even comes with its own logo that isn’t used for any other Bentley.

Bentayga Azure Riviera spec and availability

Bentley hasn’t mentioned any modifications under the hood.

The only thing they said is this is based on the EWB version, which uses a V8 twin-turbo 4.0-liter engine that puts out 542 horsepower.

Also, the automaker did not specify whether this car will limited in production, so it probably isn’t.
