Jeff Bezos’ private jet hangar is predictably full of the most extra planes available

We all know Jeff Bezos owns a private jet, but what most people don’t know is that he has a hangar where he stores three private jets.

That’s right — the billionaire has two Gulfstream business jets and another newer luxury jet.

He stores them in a private hangar in Seattle.

It’s almost as if he’s going for a collection of luxury private aircraft.

Well, three would be a collection to most ordinary people, anyway.

A media outlet uncovered this finding because all of these jets don’t list Bezos as a direct owner.

Instead, it’s a nexus of holding companies and sub-companies linked to him.

If you’re a billionaire, doing that starts to make some sense.

So, what’s the story behind the private jet fleet of Jeff Bezos?

The former Amazon CEO bought his first private jet back in 2004.

It was a Dassault Falcon 900EX manufactured in 1994.

Its tenure wasn’t as long as you would expect because he sold it in 2015.

And now, it was time to upgrade to a larger business jet with a longer range.

Enter, the first Gulfstream G650ER with Rolls-Royce BR 700 engines.

Since the G650ER is a business aircraft, it certainly wasn’t a budget-friendly private jet.

It cost $65 million, but he luckily got it on a deal by buying a used one.

To be fair, the G650ER is a marvelous creation, and many celebrities — mostly the world’s richest people — own one.

For instance, even Kim Kardashian has one of these.

After a while, Jeff Bezos got his second Gulfstream business jet, but this time it was a brand-new purchase.

It had slightly upgraded Rolls-Royce engines which produced a bit more thrust.

However, the Gulfstream G650ER is old news now, because the aviation giant has replaced it with the Gulfstream G700 business jet, its newest flagship.

Further, the final addition to Bezos’ fleet was a 2020 Pilatus PC-24 light business jet.

It’s a relatively smaller aircraft with 10 seats than the two Gulfstream jets he owns.

But that doesn’t not make it a private jet, and it only costs $9 million.

From a broader perspective, that’s a lot of private jets.

But then again, it’s pennies if you have billions in your bank accounts.
