In the city of Bristol is a lavish retreat, set in a Boeing 727. This unique living space is also listed on Airbnb by the owner, Johnny Palmer.

With this one-of-a-kind Airbnb, guests can now experience the luxury of a private jet without even leaving the ground.

Johnny has been relatively easy on the prices, with one night costing around $320.

Experiencing life on a private jet at that rate doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all.

His unconventional idea is proving to be a hit as Johnny Palmer is welcoming a steady stream of guests who want to experience the life of luxury.

He said, “We wanted guests to feel like billionaires, even if it’s just for one night.”

People can sometimes come up with very usual AirBnB ideas, just like the house inspired by the movie Up, or the one resembling the Barbie house.

What makes this living space special is the history attached to the plane.

It is believed that it once belonged to a mafia boss or even a prince.

Johnny told The Sun: “We know it was built for Japan Airways in 1968, but sometime in the 1970s it was converted into a private jet for various companies based in the Cayman Islands.

“So, you just imagine the type of people who would have been using this aircraft at the time.

“Its fittings are so upmarket that you really have to question where the money came from to fit it out so opulently.

“There were rumors that it was Mafia-owned and even an Arab prince but there was no way to getting to know who the real owners were because of the myriad of offshore companies where the plane had been registered.

“Put it this way I’m sure if the interior could talk it would have a catalogue of tales to tell.”

Locals are loving the attraction that Johnny’s unique AirBnB is getting.

“It’s unlike anything else in Bristol. It adds a touch of glamour to our industrial area.” Zak Powell, a local said.

Not only are the locals embracing this one-of-a-kind concept, but the guests are also thoroughly enjoying their time on the plane.

On the AirBnB posting of the plane, a user commented, “An Amazing and unique experience.”

“Great place and Johnny has done a great job, he’s also very friendly and helpful showing us around the place. If you’re looking for something different this is your place,” he further added.

The Boeing 727 houses two cozy bedrooms with separate bathrooms, each decked out in fancy walnut and gold-plated fixtures.

The decor looks premium and luxurious with wooden walls and soft seats, and special lighting and entertainment systems are added to enhance the experience.

While it’s not the first time we have seen a plane converted into a living space, this Boeing 727 transformation is certainly the best we have seen yet.
