WATCH: This $100,000 Jet Ski looks like a shark

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water…there’s a half shark, half jet ski on the waves. The $100,000 Seabreacher is able to go under the water, perform a 360-degree spin, and propel itself out of the water, much like the mean marine predator that it bears resemblance to. With a large engine producing 350 horsepower, this machine would make one efficient predator – if it ate fish and swimmers like its live counterpart.

That’s a lot more than this boat engine that doubles up as an underwater scooter, but it’s still cool. In this video, Alex is taught to drive the underwater shark jet ski by the experts, before taking it out for a spin herself.

What’s up guys, Supercar Blondie here in Dubai and this is what I’m learning to drive today.

A shark. This is the Seabreacher what it can do is literally as a shark does – launch itself out of the water and come slamming back down. I reckon he’s also in the charger formula team so boat racing the ones that go super fast and then actually flip over backwards those ones man is going to get in the driving seat to begin with, thank god, and show me how this thing works.

This is how much…okay, oh water…what service that five-star service over here. What else would you expect in Dubai? Right look at this eye here that’s cool is this functional at all or is this just for looks for looks right yeah this is for looks and this is all see-through.

Actually you can see it here come around over the top guys you can see how you can see down through the bottom through the shark jaws and these fins are not just for looks these are the fins that actually control where you’re going so down or up and then you’ve got the engine here yes the engine it’s rotex 1600 supercharged.

Okay, it’s got how much horsepower like around 350 horsepower yes so if I wanted to buy this yeah can I buy it yes sure really yeah how much it’s the shark model starting from uh three hundred eighty thousand around one hundred thousand dollars.

This one yeah the shark one okay a hundred thousand dollars for this that’s that’s a jet ski isn’t it for a 300 horsepower jet ski you probably get it for about 20 000 US dollars this one’s about a hundred thousand US dollars but the difference is this can do so much more this can dive go up, down, around or it can actually do three.

Can it do it? Does 360, yes. The glass they take it from army airplane yeah. I heard so the f-16 like a fighter jet has this same glass it’s made by the same company there is one system if you dive too much by mistake or whatever.

Yes, it’s a stop the engine and take you out. Okay okay. So what’s the maximum you can dive?

Maybe two meters.

Two meters, okay.

And then it will switch off the engine bring you back up to the surface.

You guys, oh this is nice, let’s talk about speed here right Supercar Blondie channel how fast can it go like around?

95 kilometers.

Oh, that’s quite fast to be fair that’s like going down shakeside road like the main highway in Dubai 100 kilometers an hour.

Wow okay, that was the least elegant egress ever is easiest getting into a supercar.

This is much more difficult got a racing harness but it looks very different so oh my god oh my god do you know it probably looks like nothing from the outside but when you’re in here and you’re all holed up in a shark or a killer whale it feels very different.

Yeah, it’d be awesome so we tried to do a 360 but I don’t think we got enough speed not enough speed right and the wave on the waves yeah so 360 is better when there’s not many waves.

It’s flat so anyway we got up and then I think we turned all the way on our yeah that was quite cool this one the throttle.

Just pull back..yeah…this two..yes…handle for the pins yeah you put both your leg and you’re gonna pull your feet back and forward you’re gonna feel..

Oh okay so this one the control for the jet pump yeah oh the other back feet jet pump three cable going to your feet oh okay turn it left and right up and down.

You know okay it’s like moving all the… what wait…I was told there would only be like two things on the feet two things here. But now there’s four things here and three things on the feet.

Yes, oh okay, so right bottom start the engine.

Okay okay, this one for the Ford.

Okay yeah yeah so Ford is drive…basically okay sure so am I the first woman to drive this in Dubai?

Oh wow okay, all right no pressure and this mobile phone has no other functions except for taking good selfies for Instagram.

Right yeah, now we’re talking for sound system. Yeah yeah oh that’s cool see you guys look it controls and then you’ve got these two speakers here in the back…um it’s quite loud actually in the back with the engine yeah you know because the engine’s right behind your head so now you just get a subwoofer as well to the add to the engine noise like ah.

These ones what does this do?

I see so these ones go like this okay yes oh my god oh my gosh wow that was awesome the two of us were screaming.
