An old 1962 Aston Martin DB4 has been found after three decades of abandonment inside a barn near New York.

Unsurprisingly the DB4 is now rusted within an inch of its life.

But there’s hope for it yet because it’s listed on eBay for $325,000.

The manager of a body shop was the original owner of the DB4.

When he asked one of his employees to help him repair it, his employee worked tirelessly for weeks on end.

After weeks of hard work, the owner actually gifted the Aston Martin DB4 to his employee.

The lucky new owner towed it home, where he planned to restore it but said he never got around to it.

Instead, the DB4 was parked in a barn where it sat rusting until recently when it finally saw the light of day after more than 30 years.

Whoever buys the 1962 DB4 in the eBay auction stands to make an incredible profit.

A restored original 1962 Aston Martin DB4 GT – pictured below – sold for an eye-watering $9,520,000 in an RM Sotheby’s auction just last year.

DB4s from the same year more commonly sell for anywhere between $200,000 and $700,000.

Aston Martin DB4

The introduction of the Aston Martin DB4 marked a new era for the British sports car manufacturer.

Wrapped in a lightweight alloy body by Carrozzeria Touring of Milan, the DB4 has a powerful 3.7-liter engine.

The DB4 was so groundbreaking that it was the first production car in the world to reach 0-100 mph in less than 30 seconds.

The discovery of the Aston Martin comes after an original E-Type Jaguar was found in the UK.

The classic was uncovered this year after almost five decades in storage.

It was later sold at auction for £40,500 (US$53,100).
