A stunning 1936 Ford Roadster has won the top prize at the 75th Grand National Roadster Show, coming out as America’s most beautiful Roadster, hosted in Pomona, California.
The 1936 Ford had to fight off around 1,000 other cars to claim the top prize.
The car was built by Rad Rides by Troy of Manteno, Illinois, a company run by Troy Trepanier.
Ross Myers owns the vehicle, and his 1936 Ford was one of just under a dozen contenders to win the overall prize.

The 1936 Ford had to fight off some stiff competition
With so many other vehicles in the running, the 1936 Ford really had to fight hard for its prize.
10 other vehicles were up for the award at the show.
These included a 1932 Roadster built by John Mumford, a 1931 Hi-Boy, and a Stanhill 1923 T Bucket.
Images show the level of detail on the 1936 Ford that won the top prize.
Chrome trimming adorns the interior of the Roadster, with plenty of trim also on the outside and a nod to its past with the Ford logo.

The Ford was reminiscent of a hot rod, thanks to its haunch stance and aggressive rake.
Further prizes were available at the Pomona Roadster festival
Multiple awards were given away at the Roadster Festival. In addition to the top prize, the Slonaker Award, dedicated to the memory of Al and Mary Slonaker, who founded the show in 1950, was also given away.
This award has been given for the best non-roadster vehicle since 1974.
It went to Bill Barbato and his 1933 golden Pontiac Sedan, built by CAL Auto Creations.

There were 11 contenders for that prize, and the Pontiac beat off rivals such as a two-engine 1935 International Truck.
Other opponents included a 1973 De Tomaso Pantera and a 1971 Volkswagen Thing.
This marking the 75th edition of the festival, more than 50 AMBR and Al Slonaker Memorial Award winners were on display in the main building.
The Petersen Automotive Museum, one of the biggest and best in North America and indeed the entire world, presented this display.
