With the new Cadillac Escalade IQL 2025 rolling out around the United States, the first drivers have showcased its 55-inch dash co-pilot that looks like a video game.

Technology was always going to sneak into driving, especially with the Teslasuit VR set primed to be the future for its electric cars.

But Cadillac has taken its own step towards turning real-life driving into a simulation.

With its 55-inch dash showcasing into a live-stream feed of the road ahead, the Cadillac Escalade 2025 is frighteningly techy.

Cadillac Escalade turns driving into a simulation

A beloved range of cars, Cadillac has evolved again in 2025, as the SUV models are pulling along driveways in style.

The new Cadillac Escalade is more powerful than ever before, and its price agrees.

But its newest feature is the dash, which can be set to a real-time feed from the front cameras, making it look like a video game.

The cameras showcase the road ahead in 4k, and some people claim it can see better than the driver themselves in low-visibility weather like rain.

Its huge screen serves as a second windshield, although it’s evident that there’s a tiny delay on the feed compared to the naked eye.

Highlighted on Instagram by Jesuslua1, the Cadillac Escalade looks more like a spin on Forza Motorsport than it does an actual daily driver.

Instantly, some drivers hailed the ‘beautiful’ clarity and admired the sunsets through the screen.

However, others had some more reserved thoughts.

“Seems distracting,” one viewer said.

“Let’s just look down while driving, yes,” added another.

A third took a shot at the video game gimmick.

“I need those Forza green arrows for the best line,” they joked.

The Cadillac Escalade is a fan favorite throughout America, being a staple go-to for Shaquille O’Neal given its size, and this divisive feature could turn out to be a hit.

The all-electric car is quite different from its stablemates, though. The adored 6.2L 420HP V8 engine gone on favor of a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive electric powertrain, offering 680HP.

Given that the old Cadillac Escalade could beat a Lamborghini Huracán EVO with ease, the new electric car might have to do some hard work before winning over its long-time fans.
