Alex Archbold, the man behind the Curiosity Incorporated YouTube channel, was able to save a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow from the crusher.
The car was damaged, but it was still salvageable, and more importantly it was the only Rolls-Royce that fit his budget.
So he bought it, and did everything he could to bring it back to life.
And we’re certainly glad he did.

The classic Rolls-Royce that Curiosity Incorporated bought and restored is a Silver Shadow Mulliner Park Ward Drop Head Coupe.
Rolls-Royce are always rare, almost by definition, but cars like this one, which aren’t limited-edition models, are going extinct precisely because people are getting rid of them.
Some of these cars might be relatively ‘cheap’ to buy, but they’re atrociously expensive to run and fix.
Restoring the car you see here wasn’t easy.
It was in truly terrible shape, and it had become a shelter for raccoons who where chewing away at its upholstery.
But the YouTuber managed, and now the Rolls-Royce looks amazing and clean.
Almost as good as new in fact.
Why so many Rolls-Royce vehicles are named after ghosts
Rolls-Royce are designed to be perceived as ethereal, almost like they’re from a different world.
This is why so many Rolls-Royce models have a synonym of ‘shadow’ in the name.
Rolls-Royce’s first EV, the one Supercar Blondie herself recently bought, is called the Spectre.
Then there’s the recently refreshed ‘entry-level’ model, the Ghost, and the flagship model, the Phantom.
When they’re not using synonyms of the word ghost, they’re using ‘celestial’ names.
Among others, we should remember the Silver Cloud, Silver Seraph and of course the Dawn.
We probably don’t need to point out that these names also just sound cool.
We’ve got the Rolls-Royce Dawn, but we’re fairly certain we’re never going to see a Rolls-Royce ‘Sunup’.
