Cybertruck Foundation Series sells for $170,000 on SBX Cars

This Tesla Cybertruck Foundation Series is the first vehicle to change hands through the SBX Cars auction platform.

The first vehicle ever offered on SBX Cars, this Cybertruck sold for $170,000.

Even a few months after the unveiling, which took place at Giga Texas in November last year, there’s still a lot of buzz around the Tesla Cybertruck.

And the auction numbers on SBX Cars are a further testament to that.

The auction page was viewed well over 100,000 times, and it received 66 bids in total.

When the (virtual) gavel fell at 9 AM PDT on April 17, the winning bid was $170,000.

Located in Beverly Hills, California, the Cybertruck had been listed with no reserve, with free global shipping included as a little gift thrown in courtesy of the seller.

This bi-motor, 600-horsepower Cybertruck, equipped with the ‘Foundation Series’ package, was listed with only 416 miles on the clock, and a clear and clean California title.

Coming in with its signature stainless steel finish, it also features 20-inch factory wheels and a panoramic glass roof.

Inside the cabin, in addition to the aforementioned panoramic roof, we also find an 18.5-inch touchscreen, and a 9.4-inch digital instrument cluster.

The Cybertruck is already such an icon.

There hasn’t been a truck that generated the same amount of hype and excitement in a long time.

Most people love it, but even if they don’t, they love to talk about it, learn about it, and see it in action.

With that in mind, we wouldn’t be surprised if more Cybertrucks surfaced for auction in the coming months.

Stay tuned.
