Man took delivery of an electric sportbike he bought from China for $1,500 and calls it a ‘learning experience’

This guy decided to buy a cheap electric sportbike from China to test it in California.

The bike is inexpensive, only $1,500, and it works relatively well for the price.

There are a few issues, chief among which is the inferior quality when compared to equivalent motorcycles from Japan.

Then again it’s not like he was expecting top-notch quality, but he figured he might as well give it a go, considering the cheap asking price.

This electric sportbike is not bad for $1,500

Nick MacNeill, the creator behind The Inja YouTube channel, bought this cheap electric sportbike as a fun experiment.

To be fair, the bike looks pretty good, especially for $1,500, but there are a couple of issues.

First and foremost, shipping a vehicle from China to California isn’t the easiest thing in the world, logistically, and it shows.

The bike’s handlebars and the section of the body where fuel tank would if it had one are scuffed and scratched.

The other minor issue is that, at first, he wasn’t sure how to start it.

Although this has probably more to do with the fact the bike is electric.

On the face of it, the vehicle has the same usual controls as any other motorcycle, but it obviously doesn’t have an engine or gears.

The Inja figured it out when he noticed extra controls on the left handlebar.

“On this handlebar, you can see the different speed settings. It even has reverse,” he explained.

A ‘car’ collector like no other

The Inja clearly has a thing for cheap, strange electric vehicles from China.

This is the same guy that bought a rare electric sports car and scammed because he received something else entirely.

He tried to get a refund, obviously, but that didn’t work out very well, and so he decided to keep it and make it ‘unique’ with modifications that we’d call unusual.

He’s apparently still using it, by the way.

Luckily for him, he was also finally able to quench his thirst, so to speak, because he eventually did buy a real sports car.
