Hennessey gives the Chevy Corvette 1,000 hp and a massive wing

Chevrolet has promised a high-performance, ZR1-badged variant for the Corvette C8 but it hasn’t delivered yet.
You can however get your hands on this Corvette ZR1 by Hennessey.
Hennessey is an American tuning company that doesn’t know the meaning of the word “subtle”.
They gave us the Mammoth, a 6-wheeled truck with 1,000+ hp, and the Venom hypercar, which is actually faster off the line than a Bugatti Chiron.
The Corvette you see here is equally crazy, coming in with a huge amount of horsepower and a massive wing.

The standard ZR1 is no slouch but in order to make it even faster, the company made a few changes to the engine and the exhaust system.
The ‘entry-level’ version of the Hennessey-tuned Corvette delivers 850 hp.
Meanwhile, the range-topping variant puts out 1,000 hp and 966 lb-ft of torque.
That’s probably enough torque to reignite a dead sun.
What sets this Corvette apart from other Hennessey creations is the fact that the company did almost nothing to the exterior.
This was done on purpose, because Hennessey solely wanted to focus on performance figures.
Pricing for the HPE850 ZR1 starts at $14,950.
Meanwhile, the 1000-hp mods will set you back $45,950.
For the record, the standard Corvette ZR1 on which it’s based starts at around $125,000.
About Hennessey Performance
Founded in 1991, Hennessey started out as a tuning company but it is now a proper supercar manufacturer.
In 2010, the company launched the Venom, which was loosely based on the Lotus Elise.
The original Venom was replaced by the Venom F5 in 2020.
Unlike the previous model, the Venom F5 is engineered, designed and built from scratch by Hennessey.
It delivers a whopping 1,817 hp, and it has a top speed of 484 km/h (301 mph).
