This is the Lazzarini superyacht called ‘Shape’, a 226-foot superyacht with some interesting design features, including a massive hole right in the middle of it.

Aside from the giant hole, it also has a helipad on the top deck, an infinity pool, and a jacuzzi.

Lazzarini, an Italian design studio, specializes in outrageous creations and this concept called the ‘Shape’ is no exception.

They actually refer to the arc-shaped hole in the middle as the ‘hole deck’ and it actually serves a purpose.

It’s essentially just a large entertainment area, where the owner can install whatever they want; a bar, ping-pong table or even a minigolf court.

As long as you don’t mind losing your balls when they inevitably end up in the ocean.

In addition to that, you can look up from the ‘hole deck’ and see the bottom of the infinity pool that’s on the upper deck.

Speaking of the pool, the helipad is positioned literally right next to it.

Imagine that, you land your chopper and three seconds later you’re in the pool.

Despite the giant hole, there’s still plenty of room left for another swimming pool just below the top deck, and two sun decks.

Last but not least, there are six VIP suites on this Lazzarini superyacht, each with its own bathroom of course.

Like other concept designs by Lazzarini, the yacht is just a prototype and the studio will only build it if they can secure funding.

Yachts are expensive, we all know that, and that hole looks like it might be a bit of an engineering nightmare.

Considering the idea and the size, we’re probably looking at a total cost in excess of $500 million.
