These guys put a 1,100 hp V10 engine in a supercar-shaped quadbike

The four-wheeler not only looks like a supercar, but it has the same V10 engine as the Audi R8.

Engler Desat quadbike

This is the world’s first super-quad.

It’s called the Engler Desat and it’s the most powerful quadbike in the world.

The four-wheeler not only looks like a supercar, but it has the same V10 engine as the Audi R8.

You can watch it in action here!

The engine isn’t the only thing the super-quad took from Audi, it also shares an identical wheelbase as the R8.

Its headlights and taillights are also replicas of those you’ll find on the Audi R8.

Created by Engler Automotive, the super-quad has some wild numbers attached to it.

The company claims its super-quad has 1,100 horsepower – that’s more than a Bugatti Veyron which has ‘just’ 987 hp.

It can go from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in just 2.5 seconds and go on to reach a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).

And with a claimed weight of 1,100 kg, it has a one-to-one horsepower-to-weight ratio.

The Engler super-quad isn’t small either.

It measures 4,670 mm in length making it longer than an actual Audi R8 coupe.

In fact, if it weren’t for the handlebars, the Desat would almost look like any other hypercar.

Engler Automotive describes the super-quad as “a ground-breaking machine that has been uniquely designed and engineered without compromising on performance and dynamics”.

With the rider at the center of the quad, Engler says it “delivers the tacticity and visceral involvement of a superbike with the raw speed and drama of a hypercar”.

Engler Automotive founder Victor Engler said he wanted to create “a new and exciting driving experience”.

And that he did.

But there are some concerns.

The super-quad has a claimed top speed of 350 km/h, which is impressive, but the quad has no roll cage or protection for the driver.

At speeds like that, you’d want a seat belt and rollover hoop at the very least.
