This YouTuber bought an abandoned silver mine in the Hinterlands of New Mexico and the plot was absolutely packed with mysterious locked trailers.
The piece of land he bought in New Mexico ended up being an old equipment yard full of old tech, cars, and machinery.
Up until now, the content creator was not allowed to open the locked trailers until they’d been abandoned by their original owner for a year, now, a year is up, and the trailers and all that’s inside them belong to him.
He found lots of interesting and very weird junk, with some real retro gems scattered among them, but he didn’t have the keys to one trailer, which secrets would have to be revealed another time.

Why buy an abandoned silver mine?
James, a YouTuber well-known for his videos on low-budget vehicle and tinkering projects, bought the plot of land in an abandoned silver mine in the Hinterlands of New Mexico.
Known online as the guy from the Low-Buck Garage YouTube channel, he was looking forward to the year anniversary of when he purchased his abandoned silver mine plot.
After a year, ownership of the trailers reverted to the new buyer, and armed with the keys, he began to open each of the trailers.
Unfortunately, he wasn’t given the keys to one trailer, which turned out to be the most important one of all.
Opening the mysterious locked trailers
In his video, James filmed himself systematically opening each of the trailers, disappointingly finding a lot of junk.
He found a lot of old records, old broken-down furniture, broken tools, documents and shelving, which is disappointing, but then he started to find the hidden gems.
In one trailer, he found a complete retro Tandy/Radio Shack TRS-80 Model II home computer, a relic of the past that is so incredibly cool and in another he found loads of retro filming equipment, perfect for a YouTuber of his caliber.
Between the cameras and film editing gear, he also found a surprising stash of optical equipment.
In another trailer, he hit the jackpot by discovering a large Miller tig welder.
One trailer remained locked as James wasn’t given the keys, but that didn’t stop him.
In a follow-up video, he managed to get it open with an angle grinder, and inside found a Frieden 132 calculator.
It might not sound exciting, but he could sell it for the price of a used semi-truck.
Looks like James struck gold in this silver mine.
