This Cybertruck feature makes the original concept better than the production model, Tesla owners say

It seems people aren’t too happy with the latest Cybertruck production candidates.

The latest images and videos of Cybertruck mules are showing something that, according to a lot of people, represents a downgrade, not an upgrade.

Taking to X, users are complaining about the shape, size and overall look of the truck bed.

The first thing that stands out is the perceived quality of the bed.

When Tesla released the first images of the vehicle after the unveil, the truck bed looked big, spacious, and like it was made of polished stainless steel.

Meanwhile, recent images reveal a truck bed that appears to be made of plastic.

And more importantly, it looks significantly smaller and almost sloped.

We’ve seen a lot of RC (release candidate) Cybertrucks in recent weeks, but no one really knows what the final production version looks like.

This means we don’t know for sure whether the truck bed fitted to the vehicle people will actually drive looks more like the original prototype, or the latest RC models.

It gets more confusing because recent drone footage from Gigafactory Texas show yet another RC Cybertruck.

This one’s fitted with a truck bed cover, different wheels and a windshield that appears a bit larger.

While we don’t have a launch date yet, would-be buyers are confident they’ll get their truck by the end of the year.

There’ll be a ‘Cybertruck Delivery Event’ at Giga Texas, after which the first lucky customers will be able to (finally) get their hands on their truck four years after its unveiling.
