For his 99th birthday in 2019, a father received a heartwarming surprise from his son – a fully restored 1955 Ford.

The father had long believed he would never be able to drive his beloved car again, as it had been parked since 1972.

But Harry West was determined to make his father’s dream come true.

This heart-warming story was covered on YouTube by Jerry Heasley.

Restoring the car back

The old man had once told Harry that he wanted to drive his precious classic car one last time.

Upon hearing this, Harry promised his dad that he would get the car running before his next birthday.

With a dedication to fix the timeless classic of his dad, Harry took the car to the workshop and started working on it relentlessly.

The vehicle was in rough shape, especially the engine, which required a lot of effort to restore.

Getting the car out of the garage was challenging, as it had been sitting there for decades.

Harry didn’t work alone. All of his siblings pitched in, helping to bring the old Ford back to life.

The whole family was united in this effort, knowing how much it meant to their father.

Time to drive the 1955 Ford

Finally, after days of hard work, the engine finally roared to life, sounding as good as new.

On the day of his 99th birthday, the entire family and their relatives gathered to watch the old man, a World War II veteran, drive his car once more.

It was definitely a million dollar moment for everyone around.

The old man was overjoyed to see his 1955 Ford in such great condition. He proudly drove it around, a smile on his face as he relived memories from the past.

It’s not just dads who can bring a smile to their children’s faces – kids share the same love and joy in making their parents happy.
