The release date of GTA 6 is getting tantalizingly close.
It’s been 10 years since the last GTA was launched.
The years leading up to the sixth installment have been dramatic, filled with speculation, rumors, huge data leaks, and even an FBI investigation.
While the exact date of release remains a mystery, fans have found a clue hidden in the trailer announcement.

The site GTAForums has been a treasure trove of leaked news.
People have used it to post information gleaned from the huge data leaks and other speculation.
The FBI eventually arrested the teen responsible for hacking the game developers, but the damage was done.
These fans are die-hard, working as part-time detectives to dissect any shred of information they can find.
We now may know what date we will get to watch the official GTA 6 trailer, thanks to an Italian fan.
On November 7, Rockstar Games made a post on X that said we can expect to see the trailer in ‘early December’.
When you’ve been waiting 10 years, it’s understandable to be a little impatient.
And the fans found this wording way too vague.
Luckily the Italian language is more specific than English.
According to a user called Max Logan, the announcement in Italian contained the phrase ‘primi giorni di dicembre’.
This translates to ‘first days of December’, which is a much narrower window.
In Italy, this phrase generally refers to the first three days of December, or the 5th at a push.
The Germans weighed in too, sharing that their announcement read ‘the beginning of December’.
The fans did the math and figured this means it’ll be dropped by 10 December at the latest.
Did Rockstar Games slip this hidden meaning in on purpose?
Or did they just hire a shoddy translator?
Only time will tell.
Let’s hope it’s the former, as the fans’ patience is clearly wearing thin.
