In a surprising take on technology, Japan has introduced a giant Wall-E inspired robot to work on the country’s railways.

This humanoid is inspired by Wall-E, a beloved animated robot from Pixar’s film by the same name.

Those coke-bottled eyes are instantly recognizable.

With its height reaching 40 feet, and enormous arms, the humanoid is tasked with various maintenance duties.

The Wall-E inspired robot is mounted on a truck, operated by a person sitting in the cockpit.

Cameras in the robot’s eyes give the operator a clear view, making sure the tasks are carried out smoothly.

Well, it’s not just Japan, but the whole world is becoming increasingly reliant on robotics.

Companies like Amazon are also acquiring robots, and deploying them in warehouses to improve efficiency.

A much-needed initiative for the country

The giant humanoid robot is developed by Jinki Ittai Co and Nippon Signal Co.

From lifting heavy materials to inspecting tracks and removing obstacles, this robot is built for handling multiple tasks.

Deploying the Wall-E robot is a much-needed initiative, not just to keep the Japan Railways in top-notch condition, but also to avoid accidents from risky jobs.

Moreover, deploying robots fills the gap of labor shortages and assists the aging workforce in the country.
