Barn find Ferrari 512BBi coming back to life after 17 years off the road

This YouTuber has been bringing an old Ferrari 512BBi back to life after 17 years of neglect.

He has been lovingly restoring it using old pictures and by piecing together old parts, in order to restore it to it’s former glory.

The repairs seem to be going well and the time and dedication that the content creator is putting into the car is really paying off.

Will it run as well as it did when it was on the road 17 years ago?

The Ferrari 512BBi is coming back to life

YouTuber Ratarossa has been working for a long time on restoring a gorgeous vintage Ferrari 512BBi back to its previous racing glory.

So far, the repairs have been going well but new problems have arisen while taking care to make sure it is as close to the original as it can be following repairs.

He wanted to take care to fix ‘little things’ like the light in the glove box that was flickering or the cracks in the spoiler to get it as close to perfect as he possibly could.

This is not the first repair the YouTuber has done on Ferraris.

Trying to stay true to the original

While trying to stay as close to the original as possible, the content creator struggled with not having a factory diagram to work from, instead having to rely on old photos.

There was a lot of wiring that needed mending due to issues with various lights, and without any support from the original diagrams, this proved to be difficult.

However, he and his followers remained positive about the Ferrari and how well the repairs were coming on, he’d also found some issues that had been identified for further troubleshooting.

He’s clearly chomping at the bit to get this car back on the road, but is taking car to make sure the car is perfect before he takes it out
