We have seen a lot of unusual vehicles here on Supercar Blondie, but the Falcon F7 American supercar stands out among the most unusual.

The Falcon F7 is an ultra-rare, mid-engine American supercar that you might not have heard about.

Only seven examples of this car were ever made and only a few made it to market.

Its design was inspired by several different cars including a Corvette, Ford GT, and the Ferrari 288 GTO.

Falcon F7: ultra rare American supercar

At the time of its launch, the Falcon F7 sold for around a quarter million dollars.

However, some examples have cropped up here and there on auctions since then.

We can see that this American supercar took design inspiration from other US-based cars, such as the C8 Corvette and Ford GT – which can go for an incredible amount at auction.

Check out the story of this one-off Chevy 850-HP supercharged C8 Corvette mule used merely to create another car.

Back to the F7 and the engineer and designer behind the supercar, Jeff Lemke, was also a fan of the Ferrari 288 GTO.

You can see some elements of all three aforementioned supercars within this American beast.

It also had many carbon fiber and aluminum parts that kept the weight under 2,785 pounds.

Specs

The Falcon F7 American supercar came with a bespoke aluminum and Kevlar monocoque chassis.

As for the engine, Falcon Motorsports went with a modified 7.0-liter LS7 V8 sourced from a C6 Corvette Z06.

The base power this supercar was able to produce was 620HP and 585lb-ft of torque.

However, an optional twin-turbo package doubled that to a whopping 1,100HP.

Now, comes the fun part.

This American supercar was also able to reach 0-97km/h/0-60mph in just 3.3 seconds, which is not bad for a decade-old car.

The twin-turbo variant was able to narrow that time to an eye-watering 2.7 seconds.

It is claimed that the Falcon F7 was also able to break the 200mph barrier.

Meanwhile, this long-forgotten car almost became America’s first supercar.
