A Tesla Cybertruck owner has gone viral for his post about how much his Tesla Cybertruck costs him each month.

Despite people the costs were extortionate, he justified the expense.

He had some strong words for people who thought it was a high price, sparking controversy with fans and opposition alike.

All-in-all, a large group of viewers believed the Cybertruck wasn’t a good financial decision.

The monthly cost of owning a Cybertruck

Self described ‘Cybertruck influencer’ Jeremy Judkins recently posted about how much he pays monthly to own a Cybertruck.

While the car itself was only $1700 a month, he said he paid an extra $491.90 monthly cost on interest.

He seemed to think that he had quite a good deal on his Cybertruck, saying he paid ‘extra just to chip away at the principal balance faster’, clearly trying to justify the extortionate monthly cost of interest.

Some viewers expressed their dismay at his monthly payments with one saying ‘go find yourself a real truck dude it can’t even haul. It’s a pavement dumpster’.

“Financing an electric truck isn’t a flex. Paying cash for a McLaren is a flex,” another said.

One user even suggested that he should drive his truck straight back to the dealership, while another said ‘I wonder if he knows for that amount he could have two cars that aren’t ugly’.

Hitting back at the haters

After the less-than-warm feedback Judkins received about his truck’s monthly cost, he made another post using some strong words.

After posting a picture of a dilapidated house, he captioned it: ‘My rent is lower than your $1800 a month Cybertruck payment’, seemingly trying to make fun of people who disagreed with his decision to pay so much.

We can’t help but notice that his monthly cost crept up between his two posts, suggesting that the price of Tesla ownership can change monthly.

While he is sparking controversy, his posts give a good ballpark on how much Cybertruck owners are spending on maintaining and paying the truck off.
