This Florida man fulfilled his childhood dream of owning a red Ferrari, by purchasing a fire-damaged Ferrari F430 at a fraction of its normal cost, only to restore it in 12 days.
When he saw this F430 with the mid-engine V8 in classic Ferrari red, complete with the horse badges on the side and only 10,000 miles on the clock he couldn’t help himself.
He bought the car from an auction house, that was selling it for an insurance company.
And since the car had been damaged in a fire, he got it for a third of its normal price.

Buying a fire-damaged Ferrari F430
The fire-damaged Ferrari F430 was bought by a YouTuber known as Samcrac, and luckily for us, he documented the whole experience on his channel.
To restore the car, he also called in friend and fellow YouTuber Scott AKA Ratarossa.
This isn’t the first time we have heard of someone buying a fire-damaged supercar at a mega discount.
Just a few months ago, two brothers bought a fire-damaged McLaren 650S Spider only to find out it had only minor damage.
However, in this case, the Ferrari F430 had its entire bottom right blown out.
So, the guys knew it wouldn’t be an easy or cheap fix.
Restoring the Ferrari in 12 days
Despite it being a huge job, Sam and Scott managed to fix it in 12 days.
As for what it cost, Sam bought the wrecked Ferrari F430 for $55,000.
According to him, he must have also spent around $15,000 getting the car fixed and painted.
In total, it cost him around $70,000 to buy the car and get it fixed.
Which is less than half the price you’d pay to buy a new one.
It’s not the first Ferrari to get a second chance at life.
