Mark Zuckerberg has finally addressed rumors of a ‘doomsday bunker’ hidden under his $270 million compound in Hawaii.
Social media has been buzzing with claims that the Facebook founder built a massive 5,000-square-foot bunker beneath his 1,400-acre Kauai property.
While many found it believable, there was no official word on it from the Meta founder himself.
However, Zuckerberg’s recent explanation adds an interesting twist to the story.

Mark Zuckerberg speaks about the rumored doomsday bunker
Speaking to Bloomberg, Zuckerberg clarified the rumors, calling it ‘just like a little shelter’.
“It’s like a basement,” he added.
He also mentioned that his property does have underground features, but it’s far from a doomsday fortress.
The video of the interview was posted on YouTube by Bloomberg Officials.
Zuckerberg’s sprawling property includes more than just this mysterious shelter.
It features two mansions connected by a tunnel that also leads to the underground area.
The estate is designed to be self-sufficient, with its own food supply from cattle, horses, and organic farms.
It even has its own water system with a tank and pump.
While Mark’s doomsday bunker in Hawaii speaks about his lavish living, he’s not all about luxury and opulence.
In fact, his choice of cars reveals his down-to-earth nature.
The video received mixed reactions from fans
The YouTube video saw a mixed bag of reactions from the viewers, with one commenting, ‘the beginning where he tried to explain his apocalypse bunker was very sus’.
Another joked that it was just a ‘little hurricane shelter of 4500sq feet with blast doors’.
But not everyone thought a doomsday bunker was a ridiculous concept, with some commenting that it was actually a good idea.
While Mark Zuckerberg spoke about the Doomsday bunker, he preferred to keep most of the details just to himself.
If it does exist, we’d be super interested to get a sneak peek.
