An American YouTuber bought his dad a Ferrari Roma with the words ‘happy retirement’ but got an unexpectedly angry reaction to his supercar gift.
New Jersey doctor and YouTuber Doctor Mike, who is training to be a Ferrari Challenge race driver, wanted to surprise his dad with the new car.
A Ferrari is a very expensive investment, so he was surprised at the reaction his dad had to the car.
Buying the supercar stemmed from his and his dad’s love of them when Doctor Mike was younger.
A Ferrari always felt unreachable for Doctor Mike
At the start of the video, the YouTuber said that buying a Ferrari always felt out of reach for him.
The doctor was recently able to buy his own Ferrari a year ago. Finally achieving a dream he had always had.
There was a plan however to buy his father one, a man who himself had always loved the Italian supercars.
The YouTuber planned a big surprise with his dad.
This was in front of family and friends as they looked around various cars outside.
His dad, who was born in the Soviet Union, was taken aback when Mike presented him with the key to the car.
Cue what Mike calls a typical Soviet reaction when he realizes his son has bought him a supercar!
Mike’s father was shocked he now owned a supercar
Mike found the reaction quite funny, as his dad questioned why he did it.
However, there was still obvious delight at the fact his son had bought him the best retirement present.
The car in question was a 2024 Ferrari Roma, that has 611hp under the hood from its turbocharged 3.9-liter V8.
As far as retirement presents go, we can’t think of anything better.
After stepping into the car and firing it up, his dad couldn’t stop smiling.
Father and son went out for a drive, to experience the Roma and his dad said it was ‘unbelievable.’
Mike’s dad was over the moon, with both of them now owning their dream cars.
With such a love for Ferrari, it makes sense why Mike is training to be a racing driver in the Ferrari Corso Pilota program.
