It’s finally here.

The highly anticipated Obi-Wan Kenobi TV show has just revealed its first teaser.

Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Ewan McGregor returns as beloved Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi.

This is the first time he’s stepped back into the iconic role since Episode III of the Star Wars Saga came out back in 2005.

Still on Tatooine looking over the young Luke Skywalker from afar, it appears Obi-Wan will get dragged back into the wider galaxy.

As teased in the trailer, the Empire is dispatching Inquisitors to hunt down any remaining Jedi.

The Inquisitors were first seen in Star Wars back when the animated show Star Wars: Rebels first aired.

There was also an ominous tease at the end of the trailer with some very familiar deep breathing, so Darth Vader may very well be on his way.

It’s just yet another example of how Star Wars supremo Dave Filoni is masterfully connecting every part of the Star Wars saga together.

Naturally, the trailer already has nearly 7 million views and has sent the internet into overdrive.

The official Twitter account for the show also sent fans wild when it made its first official – and very appropriate – tweet.

“Between darkness and defeat, hope survives,” it teased.

Darth Maul actor Sam Witwer also couldn’t resist getting in on the action with a fun tweet of his own that will make any Star Wars fan smirk with appreciation.

The limited series will air exclusively on Disney Plus from May 25th.

That should just be enough time for all of us to prepare ourselves.
