Pagani has created its first-ever manual transmission Huayra hypercar, 14 years after it was first launched.

This achingly-exclusive hypercar was unveiled to the world back in 2011, debuting at the Pirelli headquarters in Milan.

Although numerous variants have been released since then – including the Huayra Roadster and the Huayra Codalunga – production runs have always been kept tight, with no more than 100 of each model ever made.

The Pagani Huayra Epitome is a complete one-off

For example, just three of its Huayra Tricolore were produced.

Interestingly, a recent fundraiser in Jackson, Wyoming, saw a whopping 50 of the $4 million supercars come together

While well-known for their exclusivity, the newly revealed Huayra Epitome might be the rarest yet.

This one-off, completely bespoke build matches the car’s twin-turbo V12 engine with a manual transmission for the first time ever.

The Italian carmaker has offered manual transmission with other vehicles within its brand, including its first-ever model, the Zonda, and the more recently released Utopia.

But, until now, the Huayra has only been available with a six- and seven-speed single-clutch unit.

The car packs a punch

For the Huayra Epitome, the car maker enlisted the help of British company Xtrac to switch out its automatic seven-speed gearbox for a manual one while holding on to its triple-disc clutch and electronically-controlled differential.

The AMG-built 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12 engine produces 864 horsepower, with a torque of 1,100 N. It can hit a top speed of 350km/h (217m/h).

Huayra Epitome also boasts some exterior changes, including new front and rear bumpers, an integrated rear wing, and a change to the grille.

“Pagani Automobili is delighted to present the new Huayra Epitome, a unique piece of work from the Grandi Complicazioni division,” the company said in a press release

“It is an extraordinary demonstration of Pagani’s commitment to taking Hypercars to new levels of prestige, innovation, and customization.

“This one-off represents the pinnacle of Pagani’s current technology available for road-legal cars, in a bespoke vehicle tailored down to the smallest detail.”

The car manufacturer didn’t reveal any details on pricing, but I think it’s safe to assume it didn’t come cheap – maybe one to pop on the wish list.
