The 7 upcoming games we want to play ASAP

by | May 1, 2022 - 5:00PM | Gaming

God of War and F1 22 games will be released in 2022.

There are some major titles coming this year, it’s just we don’t know exactly when.

But there’s some gold on the way, be it on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or Nintendo Switch.

So if you are a maniac who has finished the 100+ hour slog of Elden Ring and looking for what’s next, we’ve got you covered.

1. F1 22

Hey, we are SupercarBlondie.com so obviously we will start with racing.

Luckily for us, the wait isn’t too long for our next racing fix because F1 22 will release worldwide on July 1.

The real F1 season is really heating up too, with Ferrari and Red Bull battling it out for points at the top of the ladder.

So it’s the perfect time to test your skills on the track.

What we are most excited about is the ability to drive with VR – the PC version will have Oculus Rift and HTC Vive capabilities.

Plus the game has the new Miami track and a host of other cool updates.

2. Saints Row

Saints Row is back babbyyyy. The third-person shooter from Deep Silver/Koch is set to release on August 23.

If you haven’t played Saints Row games before it’s a bit like GTA, but it really ramps up the weird.

Think open-world, third-person shooter with crazy vehicles, weapons and customizations.

It’s pure chaos and doesn’t take itself the least bit seriously.

3. Return to Monkey Island

Monkey Island games are iconic for anyone who was gaming way back in the 1990s and 2000s.

The adventure series from Lucas Games was a joy to play with its bizarre characters and tricky puzzles.

The new game is a sequel to the Secret of Monkey Island and Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge.

The release date is vague. We only know it will be out in 2022… so plenty of time to get a nostalgia fix and play the originals.

4. The Elder Scrolls VI

Skyrim is one of the most popular games of all time, but it’s getting really old now.

People still play it but what they are begging for is a sequel.

We know Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls IV is coming, but the release date is TBC.

Stay tuned for more info.

5. Hogwarts Legacy

Everyone has seen the trailer. It’s Harry Potter on next-gen consoles and it looks incredible.

Hogwarts Legacy is set in the late 1800s, way before the wizarding world we all know.

The game will be an action role-player and we want to play it right now….

Again, release dates are vague with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, but sometime in 2022.

6. God of War: Ragnarok

God of War was one of the best games to release on PS4. It was so good, Sony made the call to release it on PC (rare for its flagship titles).

We don’t know much about the new-gen game but you can’t go wrong with Ragnarok as the storyline (basically the end of the world).

7. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Fear not Nintendo fans, we are not forgetting you with our hype list for upcoming games.

Nintendo Switch has some cool titles coming like the return of Mario Strikers: Battle League and Splatoon 3, but the real jewel in the crown here is Pokemon.

Pokemon Sword and Shield was not really the open-world game we wanted, but it looks like Scarlet and Violet will be.

It’s set to drop sometime in 2022 and the world looks like a Mediterranean paradise. And of course it will have a stack of new Pokemon to catch.
