A $1.5 million hypercar wall and real Transformers: Five homes with wild features

Weird houses

Everyone wants their house to feel like a home, and sometimes that means getting a little weird.

These owners have gone the extra mile to give their houses an X-factor.

Here are five we’ve spotted on our internet travels.

So which one is your favorite?

1. Autobots, roll out

Our first pick comes all the way from Down Under (naturally, as I am Australian).

This AU$3.35 million (US$2.38 million) beauty comes with its own full-size Transformers in the front yard.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee both watch over this huge 3,405sqm (36,662sqft) block in the south-eastern state of South Australia with six bedrooms, four bathrooms and five garage spaces.

In case that wasn’t enough, it also has Iron Man protecting the lush home theater.

But the addition of Tony Stark isn’t the only jaw-dropper.

The house comes with its own water slide by the pool, a half basketball court and a handball zone.

2. A whole new (Lego) world

Lego fans assemble!

Miami-based artist Dante Denton is known for his Lego creations, which are well documented on his Instagram.

But one of his biggest creations lives in the home of FaZe Rug who makes videos on YouTube for more than 21 million subscribers.

Both Denton and FaZe Rug have shared the snippets of the installation on their social media pages.

Behind little doors are different Lego worlds built into the walls of FaZe Rug’s home.

3. $1.5 million Pagani room divider

This $8 million condo is nothing to be sniffed at with its stunning views of the Miami coastline.

But what takes it to the next level is the $1.5 million Pagani Zonda R room divider.

The hypercar had to be lifted into the condo by a crane and made its way inside through the balcony doors, according to Miami Curbed.

It divides the living room and the master bedroom, with Artefacto Home Staging heading up the project on the 390sqm (4200sqft) condo.

Only 15 of these supercars were made and it goes from 0-100km/h (0-62mph) in less than 2.7 seconds.

4. $31 million estate with its own rock-climbing wall

This Hamptons home boasts a bowling alley, an indoor rock-climbing wall and a halfpipe.

Sandcastle in Bridgehampton, New York, was designed by Joe Farrell and his team at Farrell Building Company.

One of the features of the estate, the Air Lounge (which houses the rock-climbing wall and the halfpipe), was inspired by a Ritz-Carlton camp in Palm Beach, Florida where Joe said he used to bring his kids.

Jay-Z and Beyonce, and Justin Bieber have all hung out there, according to the New York Post.

The estate was sold in 2021 for $31 million.

Farrell bought it for $16.5 million in 2020.

5. Jurassic Park at home

This last home on my list comes from one of my favorite Instagram pages, Zillow Gone Wild.

No joke, I am addicted to this account because a) I love real estate and b) some of the things found on there are truly HAUNTED.

But this pick isn’t it.

In the same vein as number 1 on this list, this home in Cleveland, Ohio has some very interesting front yard ornaments: a dinosaur, an elephant and giraffe.

It’s been listed for $162,000 on Zillow and is owned by Harry Larweh who made these creatures mostly from mahogany from his native Ghana, Fox8 reported.

But it’s not just the outside that takes queues from the animal kingdom.

Inside is also decorated with some wild-looking sculptures.
