Nissan has gone and built its crazy Max-Out all-electric convertible concept car.

The Max-Out was first teased back in 2021 alongside three other EV concepts from the brand, but back then it was just a render.

Now it’s here in the flesh and Nissan says it’s a glimpse into the electric future of the brand.

The concept looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.

It’s defined by sharp, straight lines and has psychedelic fluro green lights shooting across the scooped hood, grille, and wheels.

The wheels look especially wild, with the green lights creating a 3D infinity effect.

In fact, they almost look like a vortex you could get sucked into.

The side profile looks similar to that of a Lamborghini Countach, just with a shorter nose.

Interior

Inside, the futuristic lighting continues, with lime green lighting spanning the width of the yoke steering wheel and wrapping around the floating display.

Speaking of the display, the screen is so big, it spans almost the entire width of the car.

The Nissan Max-Out was first revealed as a render alongside three other EV concepts from the brand including the Chill-Out, the Surf-Out, and the Hang-Out.

Nissan hasn’t revealed any details about the concept’s specs, saying only the convertible was “designed to provide a liberating sense of openness while offering an enhanced, dynamic driving experience”.

“The Max-Out displays Nissan’s innovation to develop a diverse range of advanced and striking vehicles, with a clear vision of how they can benefit both individuals and society,” it said.

The unveiling of the Max-Out concept marks the beginning of the Nissan Futures event.

The event is happening at Nissan’s Global Headquarters Gallery until March 1 and is playing host to various displays.

The Japanese manufacturer says the displays preview the future of Nissan’s design and innovation.

And if it’s anything like this crazy new concept car, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.
