It was just a matter of time and it finally happened.

A Cybertruck owner just got one of the first real world reactions to his truck on the road.

And now he’s considering selling it.

The Cybertruck owner took to Reddit to share his experience.

“Got my first thumbs down,” he said.

“Guy rolled his window down and everything, really made sure I saw it. Think I should get rid of the CT???”

He’s obviously joking (or at least we hope so), but it opens up an interesting discussion.

The Cybertruck is divisive.

Some people love it (including Pharrell Williams as it turns out), others hate it, and many love to hate it.

And there’s not a lot of middle ground.

And it’s a Tesla – which by definition is a brand that polarizes opinion as much as its CEO and the world’s richest man.

So, in the event of somebody expressing displeasure with your truck, people in the comments shared some suggestions.

One user said you should pretend not to understand.

“Give him a thumbs up and an excited smile as if you are some foreigner who does not understand. That really confuses those with the finger. Kill with kindness too,” one user suggested.

Others suggested Elon Musk should revamp the (now sadly gone) ‘fart’ mode.

Another user took the opportunity to make an ‘offer’.

“Yep, your truck is worthless. I, being the nice guy that I am, will take it off your hands for $10,” he said.

A few comments later, the author of the original post made another comment.

“This post is obviously tongue in cheek, but I’ve generally received a lot of positivity and admiration for the truck. People generally are bewildered and want to learn more,” he said.
