LEGO has a knack of producing some epic sets.

From a 1.5-meter tall Eiffel Tower to a 4,000-piece Batman Cave, and even a Classic Defender 90 kit, they always go above and beyond.

Now the Danish purveyors of bricked fun have dropped yet another certifiable treat – a 2,000-piece Concorde LEGO set.

As we’ve come to expect from the legends over at Lego, the meter-long model is insanely detailed.

And it comes with three neat tricks up its sleeve.

Not only does the model capture many of the real plane’s iconic curves, but it’s also got an incredible LEGO mechanism hidden inside.

By twisting the tail cone on the end, you can raise and lower the supersonic jet’s landing gear.

How cool is that?

You can also manually lower the Concorde’s distinctive droop nose – which pilots do for more visibility on takeoff and landing, before popping it back up again for streamlining.

And, just like the real plane, there’s a second windscreen nested inside the front visor.

Last but not least, you might not be able to fit LEGO minifigures inside, but you can lift off part of the fuselage for a microscale look at the seating and toilets.

The collectible comes with a stand for display in flight, take-off, or landing modes, too.

And, at the base of the display stand, there’s an elegant plaque providing key stats about the iconic aircraft.

With a total of 2,083 pieces, the fully-assembled model measures 105 centimeters in length, 43 centimeters from wing to wing tip, and 15 centimeters tall.

But it doesn’t come cheap.

The Concorde LEGO set is priced at $199.99 and is currently available to purchase via the LEGO website.
