What celebs take home in the $500,000 Golden Globes goodie bags

If you’ve ever wondered what Golden Globes attendees receive in their goodie bags – you’re not the only one.

Apparently, the gift bags that are handed out are worth up to a whopping $500,000.

But what do the bags contain to be worth that much?

Last week, the Golden Globes and Robb Report announced they’d be combining forces to gift luxe goodie bags to the 83 winners and presenters of the show.

Each guest who attended last night’s show reportedly received a bag with over 35 products and experiences.

Apparently, some of the gifts and experiences included were exotic yacht charter invitations, private jet credits, and custom-made sneakers.

There were also celebrity tattoo sessions and private pizza-making classes with a top chef.

As if that wasn’t already enough, some goodie bags also came with a two-night stay in France, an all-inclusive lodge stay in New Zealand, private surf lessons in Southern California, and a $69,000 pair of emerald earrings.

Not all recipients reportedly received the same goodie bags, though, USA Today reports.

Just like the Golden Globes, other Hollywood award shows have a long history of dishing out gift bags to winners and guests.

Back in 2020, Academy Awards bags were reportedly valued at around $200,000.

The latest Globes’ goodie bags may be a sign the entertainment industry’s making a return to excess and luxury after years of pared-back ceremonies due to the pandemic.

Last night’s ceremony saw Universal Pictures’ Oppenheimer win Best Motion Picture Drama.

Cillian Murphy took Best Male Actor in a Motion Picture Drama for Universal’s global smash period pic.

Its director, Christopher Nolan, also won the first Golden Globe of his career.

One of the biggest surprises of the night was was when Margot Robbie, who starred in Barbie, lost the Best Female Actor in a Comedy award to Emma Stone for her role in Poor Things.
