This BMW has a genius way of letting you know when it detects an object you can’t see

Everyone knows BMW is ahead of the curve when it comes to groundbreaking tech.

This genius feature, found on one of the German brand’s concept cars, is proof of that.

The concept car in question is the BMW Vision Next 100.

When you press the BMW logo in the center of the fighter jet-style steering wheel, it folds down and tucks away into the car’s dash.

That triggers a light on top of the dashboard to illuminate, letting pedestrians know the car is driving by itself.

That’s not the coolest bit, though, as the little triangles that cover the dash’s surface flicker, letting the driver know when there’s an object they can’t see.

It looks like reptile skin and it’s almost as if the car’s alive – how cool is that?
