This is the new Bugatti Chiron Super Sport ‘Golden Era’, a one-off Chiron that takes Bugatti’s ‘Sur Mesure’ customization program to the next level.
It took around two years to build, but it was well worth the wait.

In essence, the Bugatti Chiron Golden Era is a love letter to Bugatti’s W16 engine and the brand’s history.
It was designed for a Bugatti collector who’s absolutely in love with the W16 that powers it, and that means that every detail of the exterior and interior of the car is a tribute to it.
Bugatti Design Director Achim Anscheidt explained the whole idea behind the car.
“Our customer expressed that he believed the Chiron Super Sport and the W16 engine represented a landmark moment in the world of the automobile,” Anscheidt said. “He wanted to do something truly unique in celebration”.
At which point, the Bugatti design team came up with a fantastic livery that incorporates 45 sketches of the brand’s icons.

Each sketch was hand-drawn directly onto the car itself.
On the passenger side, you’ve got 26 hand-drawn sketches of icons such as the Type 41 Royale and the Type 57 SC Atlantic.
Meanwhile on the driver’s side, you’ll find 19 sketches of the EB110, the Chiron, the Veyron and, most important of all, a 3,712-piece representation of the W16 engine.

The car is painted using a bespoke shade of gold called ‘Doré’ and a metallic variant of Bugatti’s signature ‘Nocturne Black’.
All in all, the Golden Era took around 400 man-hours to complete.

The interior feels equally special, with two-tone upholstery in black and tan leather.
Six iconic Bugatti models, including of course the Chiron, are hand-drawn onto the door inserts.
To top it all off, the interior is also adorned with Golden Era stitching and one-of-one motifs.

Bugatti will hand over the Golden Era to its soon-to-be lucky owner at the upcoming Monterey Car Week in California.
