If you’ve been binge watching Selling Sunset on Netflix, you’re probably eyeing up a career change to become a real estate agent.
After all, who wouldn’t want to sell big money listings and pocket a small fortune in the process.
But there’s one big question on all our lips: How much commission can be made if you were, for example, to sell a Bugatti penthouse?

Luckily, a Dubai real estate agent has posted a video to TikTok, explaining how much commission they take home after bagging a sale.
In the video, Sophie Elliott – who’s originally from the North East of England – does some quick maths.
She explains that if you were a real estate agent selling a small Bugatti penthouse worth 750 million AED ($204 million), you’d probably make five percent commission.
So, that’s 750 million multiplied by 0.05 which equals 37.5 million.
And if you’re wondering why she’s saying all that while using an old iPhone with a cracked screen, well, we’re wondering, too.
But anyway, before you start packing your bags, it’s worth noting that as a real estate agent, you won’t get that entire 37.5 million AED ($10.2 million).
You’d have to share it with your brokerage which is likely to be 50/50.
Again, some quick maths calculates your take-home amount would be a staggering 18.75 million AED ($5.1 million).
That amount is not to be sniffed at.
Despite the cost of a small Bugatti penthouse, there will be no shortage of interest in the ground-breaking development.
Called the Bugatti Residences, it is a collection of super high-end apartments and penthouses in the heart of Dubai.
The brand-new 42-story residence is a collaboration between Bugatti and real estate giant Binghatti.
Not only does the building look like something out of a sci-fi movie, but the interior is decked out with just about every amenity you could imagine.
The residence has a Riviera-inspired beach, private pool on the roof, jacuzzi spa, and fitness club.
It also has a private members club and of course, two garage-to-penthouse car lifts, so owners can drive their Bugattis all the way into their penthouses.
Madness.
