This incredible video of a commercial plane completing a high-stakes landing over the heads of tourists will have you ducking for cover.

It’s a slim margin of error for the Embraer ERJ-190, which was executing the unbelievably low maneuver on the island of Skiathos, Greece.

The breathtaking video was posted by SloMoSpotter.

The plane seems to almost come within touching distance of the amazed tourists standing below but lands safely on the runway just a few meters away beyond the fence.

But this isn’t necessarily an unusual occurrence on the Greek island.

Skiathos Airport has a runway that’s just 1,628 m (5,341 ft) long.

The geography of the island means pilots have to approach much lower than is usual at other airports.

These are generally 2,400m (7,874ft) and 3,900m (12,795.28ft) long.

So, you can see why the plane has to get down a lot quicker than usual when landing here.

That means almost giving some of the gathered plane spotters a pretty severe haircut.

As if this runway weren’t tricky enough, this remarkable bird’s eye view shows the F-18 catapulting from an aircraft carrier – and the small amount of space needed to get airborne is incredible.

People were also shocked after watching a video of another high-stakes landing on the world’s shortest runway overlooking a cliff.

And if you’re interested in seeing another commercial plane perform an incredible feat, this retiring Airbus A380 pilot performed a breathtaking maneuver on his final flight full of passengers.
