Instead of scraping around loose change for your piggy bank first car fund, imagine having the pick of 28 different vehicles from your dad’s car collection, for free.

That’s the case for this 16-year-old, whose new driving permit has been paired with a new car.

Thanks to Dad, this young man was getting straight behind the wheel.

But with so many to choose from, he had a tough choice to make.

16-year-old son gets pick of Dad’s 28-vehicle large car collection

Some car collections are simply sublime, even when they come with the ‘world’s dumbest cars‘.

Even our own Alex Hirschi – AKA Supercar Blondie – has revealed collections worth $100,000,000.

But few people start their portfolio fresh as a 16-year-old, like this lad, Nick.

The collection, highlighted on YouTube, boasted a range of different cars, from convertible sports cars to classic American muscle, each one on the table for the teenager’s choosing.

The young man revealed that he first wanted a Fox Body Mustang, but his dad wouldn’t let him behind the wheel of something that powerful until he gained more experience.

Straight off the bat, four cars in the collection caught Nick’s attention: a Maserati, a Dodge Dynasty, a Ford Crown Victoria, and a Saab 93 Aero.

Initially, the attraction was weighted in the Maserati’s favor, as the $110,000 sports car tickled his fancy.

But after a test drive, he wanted to do a thorough check of the others.

Here, the Dodge Dynasty was ruled out for ‘poor handling’ and misfiring often, and the Crown Vic was bottom of the pile and soon discarded.

That left the Saab.

One quick trip around the block in the convertible and Nick was sold.

The comfortable interior and smooth drive made the decision ‘easy’, he said.

Dad was surprised too, having wanted him to stay clear of the Maserati, knowing that the Saab would be easy to maintain.

The new Saab owner was ready to roll up to school in a fresh set of wheels, likely leaving his mates rather jealous.

As far as car collections go, he might now even be able to start his own, as he eludes to a new YouTube channel dedicated to his automobile journey.

Maybe he’ll even match this behemoth collection one day.
