Cybertruck-esque 6 wheeler EV has a two-person electric helicopter hidden inside

  • Called Land Aircraft Carrier, this is a van and a truck
  • The trunk is big enough to accommodate an eVTOL, a small helicopter that can take off and land vertically
  • It costs roughly the same as a supercar

Cybertruck-esque 6 wheeler EV has a two-person electric helicopter hidden inside

We’ve seen Cybertruck-inspired vehicles, six-wheel vehicles and eVTOLs.

This is the Land Aircraft Carrier, and it combines all those things together.

The Land Aircraft Carrier (yep, that’s what they call it) is a 6-wheel EV made by XPeng, the same company that gave us the Aeroht flying car.

The first thing that stands out is the Cybertruck-esque design.

At first glance, the Land Aircraft Carrier (let’s just call it L.A.C. for short) looks like a van.

However, when you open the trunk to reveal the little ‘hangar’ where the portable eVTOL it comes with is stored, it clearly looks like a Cybertruck.

Also, for unclear reasons, it has six wheels.

Several companies have tried making cars with six wheels in the past but it never really worked, commercially at least.

Hopefully this one will change things.

The minute helicopter hidden in the trunk, called the Air Module, is large enough to accommodate two people, despite its size.

It’s an eVTOL, which means it can take off and land vertically, without a runway.

And there’s more.

According to XPeng, this 6-wheel EV can fly automatically, in self-driving (or self-flying mode), or it can be operated manually.

It’s unclear whether you need a special license to do that, but XPeng doesn’t mention it.

So for the sake of argument, let’s just assume you don’t.

For now, at least.

The L.A.C. isn’t exactly cheap, coming in with a price tag of $140,500, but you do get a lot for your money.
