An Instagram creator randomly discovered a pair of abandoned fighter jets, seemingly left to rot in the middle of nowhere.
As strange as it may sound, he simply found these jets on Google Earth and decided to go see them in person.
It took him a long time to get there, but it was worth it.
The pictures confirm it, it’s a stunning location.

According to Instagram creator Joshua McCartney, who goes by Joshtheinternofficial on the platform, the abandoned fighter jets were found in a remote field.
And when he says ‘remote’, he means it.
The creator says he had to go on a hike to get there, walking the entire length of a very long beach filled with shipwrecks, before reaching the field where the jets are located.
And where is this? That’s the million-dollar question.
Josh didn’t tag the location, and he didn’t mention it either.
Check out the comments on his IG post though, and there are clues – just be careful, as some have suggested it might be near to – or even on – a military firing range.
Don’t go wandering around carelessly in places like that.
Finding interesting things on Google Earth is a relatively common thing.
After all, Google Earth allows you to visit (nearly) every inch of the planet, and it even allows users to visit the International Space Station – or ISS, for short.
As for the fighter jets, no one knows how they got there.
We often find stories of abandoned supercars in the most random places, the Lambo abandoned in the forest is a great example, but fighter jets?
Fighter jets, by definition, are built and maintained by countries, not by individuals, usually at incredible costs.
The entire B-2 Stealth Bomber program, for example, cost American taxpayers (so far) a whopping $40+ billion.
It’d probably be a tiny bit easier to come up with theories if we knew where these fighter jets are situated but, alas, we apparently have no access to that particular bit of information.
Again, be careful if you’re going on the hunt.
