Air force One flying over Mount Rushmore

It’s one of those historic photos that never gets old, similar to this emotional footage showing the last ever Concorde being made.

Air Force One is an iconic aircraft known for transporting the President of United States of America around the globe.

The plane is officially known as VC-25A, a modified Boeing 747-200B, designed for presidential transport.

It truly is a plane fit for one of the world’s most important figures.

Air Force One differs greatly in safety and amenities from the same Boeing commercial aircraft.

The aircraft features a stateroom, dressing room, President’s office, a conference room, a large galley, and several other luxurious features.

The amenities match the luxury of a private jet owned by billionaires.

One of the safest aircraft on the earth

The safety of the plane is also unmatched.

It features advanced defensive measures, including jamming radars and flares to mislead missiles and secure communications to keep the President connected to the military at all times.

That’s the reason why this plane costs a whopping $3.2 billion.

The VC-25A doesn’t disappoint in its specifications either.

The plane produces a powerful thrust of 56,700lbs, enabling it to reach speeds of around 630mph, and an altitude of 45,100 feet.

It also has an impressive range of 7,800 miles.

Interestingly, Air Force One planes – including the one with tail number 28000 – are still actively in service and proudly transporting the President of the United States.
