An American bought himself a Tesla Cybertruck before he decided to gift his new electric pickup truck to his dad.
David Ritchie had been very excited to take delivery of his Cybertruck and had also been looking forward to driving it home.
However, upon taking delivery of the truck, he decided it would be right to gift it to his father.
The reason behind that was heartwarming, with something stirring inside him as he took the truck home.

Why the American gifted his Cybertruck to his dad
As he drove the EV home, US-based David Ritchie said that he felt his father ‘was more deserving of it’ than he was.
David called his brother, and the two then went straight to their dads to gift him the Tesla truck.
The reason behind it was simple but incredibly heartwarming.
David explained that his father and his mom had given other people everything, with his father being a missionary in Greece for 21 years.
After their mum passed away, David and his brother ensured they looked for ways to look after their father.
David already had one Cybertruck in his car collection.
So, he decided the time was right to give something back to his father.
The gesture with the Tesla is heartwarming
It’s a truly heartwarming story, and the brothers shared a video of the encounter on a Teesla Cybertruck Owners Facebook group.
The father had an immense amount of joy on his face, and he couldn’t quite believe what his two sons had done for him.
Quite clearly, it resonated with others, too, as many people online remarked on the touching moment between the three Americans.
One user simply replied with: “This is awesome. Bless your father and praise G*d!”
David’s story shows us how important it is to look after those around us and how you can repay them in a big way.
With the base model costing around $61,000, it’s certainly not a cheap gift.
The Cybertruck is also one of the most controversial vehicles of modern times, thanks to its design.
However, seeing David’s father so happy at having one makes us forget all about that.
