This American YouTuber purchased a rare supercharged flagship Jaguar for only $3,800 and it was a total steal.

The 2004 Jaguar XJR may look relatively regular from the outside but its packing a 4.2L Supercharged V8 engine.

Waldo, the host of YouTube channel Waldo’s World, was the guy lucky enough to get his hands on one at auction.

It’s a really rare car in the US – but it’s more than a novelty.

Taking a closer look at this Supercharged Flagship Jaguar

Although Waldo admits he could have gotten the car for a cheaper price, he felt it was worth every penny as it’s a beautiful car inside and out.

Once inside, he was greeted with a beautiful blend of wood and leather.

This interior is a touch of class.

Waldo gushed: “What I love about this car is the classic styling, paired with modern creature comforts.

“The car is like an old British house with a thatched roof, but one that’s been updated with air condition.

“The interior is classic Jag. It’s comforting, like sunshine after rain.”

Who doesn’t love a cozy interior?

This truck took it to another level though – the inside looks like a mattress!

And if a charming interior wasn’t endearing enough, Waldo demonstrated that the trunk can fit a set of golf clubs inside.

Not that you should stop at one set – this car can hold four.

Looks like you’d be the designated driver for you and your buddies’ golfing trip then if you had this car.

What needs fixing?

However, looks and golf club holding capabilities aren’t everything.

How does the car run?

Waldo said that he doesn’t even have to do a close inspection to see that there are issues.

Things aren’t off to a great start when the hood release is broken, although Waldo manages to get around thank with some vice grips.

After that, the problems just keep adding up – broken power steering, low brake fluids, suspension problems.

A ton of work needed to be carried out on this car, including draining the brakes and adjusting the suspension.

That’s not to mention all the replacements needed – the front brakes, the rear brakes, the tie rod ends and the rotors.

But in the end, it’s a price worth paying to get this car back into fighting form.

We all love a good old-fashioned restoration, especially on cars that many would have given up on.

Case in point, this Audi R8 that had been left rotting for five years before its heroic restoration.
