Apple’s iOS 17.0.3 update has finally fixed overheating issues that so many users reported.

And tech YouTuber Repair Guru has just discovered yet another issue the new update may have fixed.

Apple (in)famously tries to keep everything in house, including repairs.

More recently, due to a new bill in the US, Apple was forced to make it easier for customers to repair their phone on their own if need be.

However, Repair Guru points out that Apple still pairs components to the logic board of individual phones.

In other words, the front camera of iPhone 15 A wouldn’t work on iPhone 15 B and vice versa.

And it’s not just front cameras because, in theory, the same issue could materialize using different chargers and cables.

Now, this may (hopefully) not be an issue with the iPhone 15 since it was only released a few weeks ago.

But it definitely may become a problem in the future.

Apple has taken that into consideration with the new iOS17.0.3.

After the initial excitement, Apple users pretty quickly discovered the new iOS17 update looked more like a downgrade.

Aside from the well-known overheating issue, some also claimed updating to iOS17 made their phone slower.

Not to mention the fact it appeared to be a huge battery killer.

Thankfully, Apple’s reaction was swift.

First, the company released a statement to address the issue and then, just a few days later, they released the aforementioned iOS17.0.3 update, which seems to have fixed these issues.

Everything seems fine now, so hopefully it stays that way.
