If rumors are to be believed, the upcoming Apple iPhone 15 will be significantly more expensive than the existing iPhone 14.

While we don’t have an official release date yet, we have a (tentative) release date.

Apple traditionally holds launch events in September and no exception should be made for the iPhone 15.

The new model is expected to debut during a dedicated launch event on September 12-13 in Cupertino.

Ideally, Apple wants to make sure it hit the shelves by September 22.

Price-wise, the new iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max should cost $100 and $200 more than the 14 Pro and Pro Max respectively.

As a result, both the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will cost over four figures.

Also, on a side note, as with the previous model, the iPhone 15 will not include a Mini version.

Apparently, the iPhone 12 Mini and 13 Mini didn’t sell that well, so Apple decided to discontinue the Mini line.

In terms of tech features, the upcoming iPhone 15 is equipped with upgraded A17 chips, periscope lens-enhanced zoom and USB-C port.

Also, and this would be a bit of a game-changer in terms of design, the iPhone 15 is expected to finally lose the notch.

For reference, the notch is that black strip located at the top of the iPhone screen.

It houses the front camera and the FaceID sensor.

The material is also different as the new iPhone should be made of titanium rather than stainless steel and glass.

The key feature of the iPhone 15 Pro is the new periscope zoom camera.

The new module doubles the 3x optical zoom of the iPhone 14 Pro Max, bringing it up to 6x.

Apple has always had that Midas touch, in that anything and everything with an Apple logo sells like candy.

We’ll find out whether that applies to the iPhone 15 soon enough.

Stay tuned for an official announcement regarding the Apple iPhone 15 release date.
