This black VIP Mercedes Sprinter is perhaps the most unlikely way for the rich and powerful to move around but the richest person in your area might well have one.
Clean Ride Customs has taken a Mercedes Sprinter van and decked it out in leather, top-of-the-line electronics, and even a bed. It’s glamping taken to the ultimate extreme.
It’s also quite an interesting vehicle to make a VIP camper out of. In much of the world, Sprinters are known for carrying tools and building materials, not hundreds of thousands in leather and gadgets.
Some even end up off-roading. While some models have four-wheel drive, off-road adventures come with mixed results…

This custom Mercedes Sprinter is a VIP dream
One thing to note is the rear badge.
This is not a real Maybach – the brand never turned its attention to the Sprinter in an official capacity.
But this van is the closest you’ll get to Mercedes’ experts at in-house luxury giving us what is essentially a five-star RV.
So, why get yourselves one of these over your traditional Rolls-Royce or Bentley limousine?
The first reason is that it’s discreet.
A Rolls-Royce or a Bentley will ooze wealth. They have an image, a standing, and a brand recognition that tells you that an extremely wealthy person is driving by.
However, a Sprinter could be for anything.
It could be an airport transit bus or a private hire minibus. It could be hired for a wedding, a funeral, a big birthday, or just to move a large group of friends around for the evening.
The van has become a beloved platform for the van life movement as more change vocations from trades to campers.
Why is this Sprinter so special?
The point is, because they’re used for so many different things, no one will guess that the Sprinter you’re in is decked out like a private jet on wheels.
The second is space. The Sprinter would make a Rolls-Royce Phantom or a Bentley Mulsanne feel like a bedsit by comparison. It is vast in a way a standard luxury car couldn’t compare.
Two TVs, two captain’s chairs, a full bed, and with most of the furniture being electronically adjustable in some fashion, it’s a package that requires a lot of space and the Sprinter delivers.
Which leaves the most fortunate among us. Do you sacrifice space for something a bit more flashy? Or do you go for the big discreet van, like the VIP Mercedes Sprinter, hiding in plain sight? Decisions, decisions…
