Owners of the Bugatti Bolide were made to ‘warm up’ in a Porsche 911 GT3 RS before taking part in a track event in France.
The track-only Bolide is a true hypercar, with nearly 1,600HP under the hood.
During an event at the Paul Ricard circuit, owners of the hypercar were given the chance to let loose in their machines, but Bugatti had them prepare by first driving the 911.
While not as powerful as the hypercar, it meant owners didn’t have as big a shock as they would have getting straight into the Bolide.

Bugatti wanted to prepare the Bolide owners
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS the owners warmed up in is one of the best driver’s cars in the world.
Bugatti had their owners ease in with expert training in the German masterpiece.
That allowed them to learn the French Paul Ricard circuit and the ideal lines around the racetrack.
A dedicated instructor then helped them refine their technique during the training which took place on the morning of the track day.

Bugatti test drivers Andy Wallace and Bruno Spengler were in attendance to provide instructions for the drivers.
Both Spengler and Wallace have raced at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, so they know what it takes to wild a fast car around a circuit.
Four Bolides took part in the event
There were four Bolide owners at the circuit with their cars that day, getting to grips with the hypercar.
The manufacturer said that the Bolide owners were ‘inching closer’ to the limit with every lap they did, showing the tuition paid off.
The training in the Porsche 911 came in very handy in allowing them to tackle the track with ease.
Each of the four Bolides was different from the other, due to an excellent customization service.

One had a Black Carbon and Ruby color, accented with gold-painted rims.
Another of the hypercars had Black Carbon and Blue Carbon infused, with the third in full Nocturne colors.
The final hypercar was adorned in Black Cabron and Argent, and images of the event show how good they looked.
Bugatti’s Bolide costs over $4.3 million and has 1,578HP available from its W16 engine.
With all that power, it’s a good job Bugatti eased the owners in gently driving the 911 GT3 RS. No one wants a totaled Bolide…
