A few months ago, Audemars Piguet teamed up with luxury retailer Wristcheck to launch a ‘ Design your own Royal Oak ‘ competition.
The competition, dubbed ‘Your Take On The Royal Oak’, gave everyone a chance to design their own Royal Oak.
It launched on October 6 and the 5 winning designs have just been announced.

Originally, Audemars Piguet CEO François-Henry Bennahmias and Wristcheck founder Austen Chu had originally planned to select three winners in total.
However, the task proved harder than they anticipated with over incredible 4,000 designs to choose from.
In the end, Chu and Bennahmias picked not three but five winners.
Design your own Royal Oak competition – What did the winners actually win?
All five winners will be flying to Le Brassus, Switzerland, the beautiful small town where Audemars Piguet is based.
They will be staying at the newly-opened Hôtel des Horlogers, designed and built by Audemars Piguet.
More importantly, Audemars Piguet will actually consider turning one of these pieces into a limited series or pièce unique.
You can check out the winning designs here.
About the Royal Oak
The Royal Oak is Audemars Piguet’s halo watch.
It is by far the brand’s most popular and best-selling watch.
Legendary watch designer Gérald Genta first penned it in 1972 and AP decided to market it as the world’s first luxury sports watch.
It was originally only available in stainless steel but AP has released a variety of different pieces over the years.
