Porsche was founded nearly 100 years ago and has been producing high quality cars ever since – but which are its fastest supercars?

The German manufacturer was launched back in 1931 and has since become synonymous with high-performance vehicles.

With more than 300,000 cars sold in 2022, it begs the question – which were the most powerful?

We’re going to rank the top five fastest supercars made by Porsche, listing them by speed and performance.

Porsche has been making high quality cars for almost 100 years

When it comes to supercars, this German manufacturer has been a long-stay in the automotive world.

It’s right up there with BugattiLamborghini, and McLaren.

But even among its heavy hitters, some have to be better than others, right?

Here are the top five fastest Porsches.

The top five fastest Porsche supercars

In this ranking, we’ve got from the slowest, well, relatively speaking, to the fastest.

2016 911 Turbo S (991) – 205MPH

Our ‘slowest’ car is in joint third place with two other cars, so it can’t be doing too badly, right?

The 2016 911 Turbo S (991) can reach top speeds of 205MPH and can accelerate from 0 to 100KMH in 2.9 seconds.

2020 911 Turbo S Cabriolet (992) – 205MPH

Filling out the middle of our joint three is the 2020 911 Turbo S Cabriolet (992), which was sold between 2020 and 2024.

It can reach 100KMH in 2.8 seconds.

2020 911 Turbo S (Type 992) – 205MPH

Finishing out in joint third is the 2020 911 Turbo S.

Capable of going from 0 to 100KMH in 2.7 seconds, this car may be the definition of ‘Close but no cigar’.

However, it does hold one distinction – in November 2023, it was the fastest road-going car that Porsche was making.

That has to count for something.

2017 911 GT2 RS (Type 991) – 211MPH

Missing out on the top spot is the 2017 911 GT2 RS.

When put out on the Nordschleife track, it achieved a commendable 6 minutes 43.3 seconds in 2021, with Lars Kern behind the wheel.

It’s capable of hitting 100KMH in 2.8 seconds.

But alas, the top spot goes to another car…

The Fastest Porsche: 2013 918 Spyder – 214MPH

The top dog in this ranking has to be the 2013 918 Spyder.

Its top speed is 214mph, and it can reach 100KMH in 2.6 seconds.

Not only does it hit the highest top speed, it also packs an impressive time when out on the track in Nürburgring.

It achieved a 6 minutes 57 seconds time back in 2013, becoming the first production car to smash the seven-minute barrier at the Nordschleife.

Less than 1,000 were made, and it remains a high benchmark over a decade later.

So there you have it – the top five fastest supercars from Porsche.
