An unusual Ford concept vehicle has cropped up on Facebook Marketplace, offering someone the chance to own a super rare vehicle.

The vehicle in question is a 2005 Ford Sport Trac V8 Concept, its full name being the SVT Explorer Sport Trac Adrenalin.

Ford intended to produce this as a performance street truck; however, in the end, the Blue Oval produced just a solitary example as a concept vehicle.

Remarkably, you now have the chance to buy the concept yourself and own a very rare piece of Ford history.

The Ford V8 Sport Trac concept has been sold before

This isn’t the first time this concept pickup truck has gone under the hammer.

The vehicle was sold at RM Sotheby’s twice, in 2010 and 2014, and it was then sold again in 2020 at Barrett-Jackson.

The current seller, Jeff Schembri, purchased the car in 2020, paying $55,000 at the time.

Schembri actually built his own version of the Sport Trac V8, buying an Explorer Sport Trac with the Adrenalin package and then supercharging it.

While there is no official Ford documentation for the truck, there is plenty to confirm it is the real deal.

Underneath the hood is a plaque from Ford, proving that it is a prototype vehicle.

The supercharged Sport Trac was a mashup pickup

The concept itself is a mashup of the Ford SVT F-150 Lightning and the Explorer Sport Trac.

Under the hood, the Adrenalin concept has a supercharged 4.6-liter V8 with 390HP and 390LB-FT of torque.

The transmission comes from a six-speed automatic, the first ever for an SVT vehicle.

The truck also boasts all-wheel drive, SVT-tuned independent suspension, and up to 6,000LBS of towing capacity.

If you are thinking of buying the concept, there are a couple of things to note.

First of all, it’s listed at $135,000, so it won’t come cheap.

Secondly, the truck isn’t road legal.

So, save from driving it up and down your driveway; there isn’t a lot you could do with the Adrenalin.

However, it isn’t very often that you can get your hands on such a rare vehicle so it might just be worth it.
